Black Holes--a type of Dark matter

a. Jets of gas, event horizon, accretion disk
b. They are related because a black hole exceeds the speed of light so everything around it, including light, is sucked in
c. We really don't see the black hole, what we see is the matter being sucked into it
d. Characteristic radius associated with all masses

Two sides to every story

I know that there is more intellagent life out there. We can't be the only ones humans were made because of a asteroid hitting Earth. Even if that hit that created us was a one-in-a-million chance doesn't mean it can't happen again. The universe is huge. Humans can't even wrap there mind around, some of us still don't know how big our galaxey is they just assume that is our solor system. My point is that there are probably billions of galaxeys and planets like ours so it we are one-in-a-million chances are there a more like us.

Lab 4: Measuring the Speed of Light with Chocolate

Distance between the hot spots 10cm
Wavelength 20cm
Wavelength .2m
Frequency of the microwave 2500000000m
EQUATION c=λ*f .2*2500000000=c
Your calculated speed of light 500,000,000m/s

Telescope Types (Hubble)

a) Dark Energy(I'm not sure that this is EM radiation), certain wavelengths of radiation, like ultraviolet, gamma- and X-rays

b)

c) 6.3 billion light years away

d)travels the Earth every 97 minutes and sends the pictures back to Earth

a.) Absorption Spectra
b.) Closer, The ones further from us move less then the ones closer to us or at least it looks that way
c.) Brightness
d.) Middle radiates to the rest of the Star
e.) Intensity is how bright it 'looks.' Magnitude is how bright it 'really is.'

Annie Cannon and the Spectra

If I had to choice one thing to study my whole life it would be history. History is something that we can't get back and is something that can help us move foward. A lot of history is still hiding out there things we don't know or are unsure of and I want to make it my mission in life to be able to find some of it.

Electromagnetic Radiation

The thing that I would be lost without is my cell phone. I use my cell phone daily to call my family and firends. I need to beable to call work if my car breaks down and I'm going to be late so they don't think I forgot. And finally I keep my calander on my phone so I need it when I make any plans.
A.) Earth would be located .967 meters away and mercury would be 10.75 meters away. That's how far the planets are if Pluto was 175 miles away from the sun

B.) .745.77 years old Pluto. Because it takes about six and a half days for Pluto to rotate once.

C.) 13.4 on Pluto. 28140000000000 a Neutron Star. 226.1 on Neptune.

What Is Up With Mercury

1. The rotation rate is faster than the other planets
2. Because the closer the wave gets to the planet the more intense and powerful it is going to be
3. They mean we can gain a better of Mar's rotation rate

What Is It?

I think it was a meteor because:
1. It blew up about 300ft above the ground so we can't find any evidence that it was there
2. The blast caused the raditation
3. It wasn't a nuke but it did cause some of the same damage

Ursa Minor-> 6
Draco-> 14
Ursa major-> 13
Average X 100= 1100

It was kind of cloudy out when we did this so we both had a little trouble but I think we got it.

Me

Hi my is Mariah Mack, I'm 17 years old. I like to go to the coffee den every Thursday even though I don't like coffee, their food is enough to make up for it. I've worked at the Manchester Dairy Queen since April of 2008, I run the register more often than not. I have 8 siblings Chris, Josh, Shannon(brother not sister), Reva, Maranda(my twin), Jenna, and Chris(don't worry it's not a misprint his name was Trey first, his parents just changed it). In the future I plan to attend a four year college, major in Historical Archeology and minor in greek or latin. After that I plan to I plan on becoming an Archeologist and work in Europe, Africa, and Mexico.
